Battery Upgrade for Precision 3581 to 97wh
I just purchased the larger 6 cells, 97wh battery from Dell, as recommended by Dell for my Precision 3581
The product code is: 9JRV0 ... but the problem is that the existing cable for the 4 cells, 64wh battery DOES NOT WORK ... the connector on the battery side is different and larger.
I scouted forums, shopping and part sites and call Dell and for now no answer anywhere as to which cable to buy where and with which product code.
The closest I found is this article https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/precision-mobile-workstations/battery-upgrade-for-precision-3561-to-97wh/64a3fbbaf4ccf8a8dea46df4
The product code is reported there as 450.0NS02.0001 for a Precision 3561 which is close enough.
While I am waiting for Dell to come back, I went ahead and bought that at Amazon: the product code is
0TVWVN and reference is 450.0NS02.0001 Battery Cable. From the look at the pictures, it looks close enough... I am crossing fingers and will report once received!
Hopefully this post will help someone in the same situations. Vendors and Dell have been completely clueless so far.

I’m also using a Precision 3581 (I run a roofing business here in Canberra, roof repair Canberra work keeps me mobile), and I ran into the same issue when upgrading to the 97wh battery. The stock cable for the 64wh just doesn’t fit. The 0TVWVN / 450.0NS02.0001 cable worked for me too—once installed, the larger battery was recognized without any problems. Definitely confusing that Dell doesn’t make this info clearer, but this was the fix.

@isarose Thanks! I can confirm it works too. The fit is a little snug and the cable may a couple centimeters too long, but this is it! Awesome.
