5570 with WD22TB4 and 2 external monitors periodically go black and come back on

I have a 5570 with mostly up to date Windows 11 (maybe fully up-to-date at this point) and a WD22TB4 docking station.  I have the dock connected to one of the USB 4 ports on the left.

The dock has the lastest firmware (confirmed with the firmware update tool) and the latest RealTEK Ethernet drivers installed.  I have updated intel drivers, windows and Nvidia drivers.

Periodically through the day, one of my monitors will go black for about 2 - 3 seconds and then restore. I never know which monitor it will happen with, it could be either one, but it is never both at the time, it is one of them.

I'm at a loss of what else to try here.  I had no problem with my previous 5550 and the same dock, so the monitors and fine, and I've even replaced the cables from the dock to the monitors in hope that was the issue.

Anyone have any suggestions?

To update this.  Apparently the 5570 laptop has some incompatibilities with the older monitors I was using (as a note those monitors worked fine with a 5550 Precision laptop).

I have replaced the monitors with new monitors (also happen to be dell) and I have not had any issues with displays since.

Hi there! I’m Varun from the Dell Social Media team. I understand that you're facing an issue with the System. Please be assured that I will look into this and help you with the best available options to have this resolved for you at the earliest.

Before we proceed, I have a few questions to understand the issue better:

1. How long have you been facing the issue?

2. Have you made any recent hardware/software changes to the system?

3. Did you notice any Windows or driver updates that took place recently?

This is a new 5570, it has been happening since day one.  It came with Windows 11, so I cannot say that if there's a specific update or anything that started it.

I had problems with my previous 5550 (overheating) so my company sent me this new 5570.  This has been running great except now for this odd issue with the external displays.  I used the same displays with my 5550 and they never had this issue.

So to answer your questions as listed:

1) since day one of the laptop (about a week now)
2) it started before any updates, so it has been consistent through all updates
3) numerous updates took place, but this problem has been consistent through them all.

Are we connected ?

I'm not sure I understand "are we connected".  The monitors are connected to the dock.  The cables are good.  For the most part it works fine, there is just the occasional drop to black and then they turn back on.  The monitors are not Dell monitors.

I am having the exact same issue, but with an XPS 17 9720 (Windows 11) and three 1080p monitors (2 are ASUS, one is Dell P2719H). I used to have an XPS 13 9320 with a TB16 with no issues. I have tried using different ports on my XPS, but they all have the same result. All three monitors seem to have the issue. The two ASUS are connected via DP, and the Dell by HDMI. I have triple checked that all drivers are updated. I have had this issue since I got the device, about 4 months ago. It can happen anywhere from 1-5 times during my normal workday.

Could you share what model new monitor you purchased?  Thanks!

Absolutely, I got 2 of the Dell p2723d (the QHD version) and they have both been working fantastically for me.
