setting bifurcation properly for a dell quad ultraspeed nvme adapter in a T7910

The subject line says it all: what settings are needed to use the dell quad with more than one nvme ssd?

Thanks!

As I recall, there is no configuration menu in system BIOS for bifurcation, only the PCIe gen and link speed.  I doubt that the settings was the issue because you could see the drives in Windows.  Try Live CD or unformatted (unallocated) drives.

If you read some similar posts, you will see the common mistake was the issue, not the hardware problem.  Go over your setup, sometimes we can overlook the very basic things in the process.

This is both a bump and a clarification: What bios settings must be changed for the bifurcation to work.  I have two nvme ssds in my dell ultraspeed quad card, and the drive is recognized by Windows (but not readable as its an ext4 partition) and when I boot to ubuntu, the drive would be readable if the system recognized it, but its not.

Another bump.  The question is this: On a T7910, how does one set bifurcation settings so that two nvme ssd drives are accessible in linux?

Thanks Chino de Oro.  After noodling around a bit I think i found the issue.  The drive was recognized by Ubuntu but not mounted.  So lsblk to find the device and mount to mount it.

After that I could access all my files.
