Presision 3640 - issue with assembly the TP-LINK Archer TX50E (AX3000)
Hi,
I bought the Archer TX50E PCIe Adapter for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and I have one troubleshooting.
https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202004/20200420/1910012781_Archer%20TX50E_UG_REV1.0.0.pdf
I put the card in the PCIe slot and the Wi-Fi works very well but I have a problem with Bluetooth. In the box is the cable which requires to connect to the F-USB connector on the motherboard.
I don't see the socket to where I can connect that cable on the motherboard.
Motherboard type: IPCML-RT REV: A00
thank you for any support in this case

Welcome to the world of proprietary hardware. It is not just a Dell that uses such hardware. You will find it on many manufacturer's systems.

Aurora R11 I am guessing? Dell MBs are proprietary and you are correct that there is not a standard internal USB 2 connection. You may have to find a USB Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the external USB port. Or something like this that plus into the USB 3 port on the MB. A google search turns up a wide variety of adapters.

Hi, thank you for the reply. I have a workstation Precision 3640.
That idea with an internal adapter that you propose is an interesting solution for me. I will check this.
when I decided to buy the wi-fi/BT card I just cared to have BT and to be honest I was very surprised that the card needs an additional connection.
