How to remove the air shroud on 7920 tower?
The shroud itself says to push in on the side. I do that but it won't budge when lifting up. The owners manual doesn't even mention the sides, it just says:
To remove the air shroud Fan assembly:
- Disconnect the fan connector cable from the system board [1].
- Lift the shroud away from the system [2].

@segmentation_fault Sorry, but I was away. The tabs do not actually push in. They are pressure points. Is there an obstruction in the way perhaps….a cable or a plug? Is your fan cable (to the right of the battery) still in place? Unplug that and try again. Do not forget to plug it back in when you are finished!

You will need both hands to push in the four blue tabs on the sides. Then pull up firmly but carefully. You may also have to “wiggle” it a bit.

Thanks. I tried today but the four blue tabs don't push in at all? Are they meant to? When I pull up it won't budge. There is something locking it in place. Can't figure out what though. See my picture below:

Thanks, I tried again, but this this time with a little more force and it popped out.

I just grip my fingers onto those tabs and pull directly out with mild force. Just don't pull at any sort of angle or you're risking damage to the heatsink.
