Dell T7810 w28 Core and 2X E5-2680v4 128GB Memory. Suggestions on Processor Upgrades

I just got this Dell T7810 with 28 Core and 2X E5-2680V4 and 128Gb .. I want to upgrade my processors, as the base 2.4 is not that fast and its limited w Turbo Mode pushing to 3.0 only when its pushed to high limits, I want a higher processor base in the realm of 3.0 as the base and 3.6/3.7 in Turbo Mode when its under load but i dont want to lose my cores if i can do it, I bought this to do Virtualization and Gaming so its hard to mix both on the same machine, I have installled a 1070 GTX and am afraid it may bottleneck with the E5-2680v4 processors and low base 2.4

Any help will be appreciated on Compatible Processors or A Way to Push Turbo Mode Manually it is set in the Bios but still shows the base as 2.4

Thanks

Phil

These are the compatible processors with higher base clock:

E5-2637 v4

E5-2643 v4

E5-2667 v4

E5-2687W

But the multi-cores turbo clocks of E5-2699 v4 still beat them all.

I think that your 2680 is not so slow - the turbo speed should be 3.3MHz, not 3.0.  Benchmarks are only roughly correlated to the power you need for a specific task, but you look at two different benchmarks for dual cpu units, the 2680 is fairly good..  Only the 2699 and 2699A beat it.  The 2699As go for $700 each on eBay these days so...  Maybe this isn't good news.  One key thing: make sure that you have good cooling so that your unit is not thermal throttling.

* I believe that the reported passmark is in error, as I get over 50,000 for dual 2699A’s

Any Processor listed here will work, don't waste your time with the 1xxx and 4xxx series

Intel® Xeon® Processor E5 v4 Family Product Specifications

I have 2 of the E5-2697 v4 running in my T7910 with 128GB DDR-2400MHz memory installed

Thanks I will Check that out it’s in Win11 so I think that’s part of the issue as a lot of the factory apps are not installed that are supported so I will look into it.
