DELL PRECISION T7600 does not recognize Hard Disks or RAIDs while Windows 10 Installation
Hi,
Hello
I have a DELL Precision T7600 workstation (Intel chipset C600) where the PERC-H310 RAID/SAS controller broke. Since I have BIOS A17 installed, I was able to connect the SAS cable directly to the motherboard which also has two SAS slots.
In BIOS I have "Legacy Boot" enabled, "AHCI" is also enabled as well as "SATA/RAID Operations". In the boot process, the "IntelRapid Storage Technology Enterprise SCU Option ROM 3.7.0.1049" is accessed via the key combination "CTRL + I". There I set up a RAID-0 with the three hard disks, which also appears in the BIOS under "Drives".
If I now boot from the Windows 10 USB stick, I get into the installation routine up to the point where you select the drive to be installed. The selection bar there is empty! I also downloaded the latest INTEL RSTP drivers and unzipped them to the USB stick using 7-ZIP - all inf files I found. None of them cause the drive to be recognized by the Windows installation routine during installation.
Do any of you know the problem and with which BIOS setting or driver, the drives become visible during the Windows installation?
Many thanks
LG, J.

Maybe you can try a different F6 driver.
Click here to download T7600 Windows 10 driver pack
Extract it using winrar or winzip
Open the extracted folder and copy the storage controller drivers to a USB drive
Use the USB drive during Windows installation process to load driver (...\iaStorS)
Hopefully your volume will displayed.

What can I say? Thank you very much. I spent the whole of Sunday plugging in cables, making BIOS changes and downloading drivers from all sorts of sites with all sorts of versions. And started and stopped the Windows 10 installation probably 100 times.
In the CAB file you linked, under Storage, x64, the second driver was the correct one. Included in the Windows 10 installation routine, it immediately found the emulated RAID drive and I was able to install Windows straight away.
Thank you!
