1000W PSU cable needed for 4080 or 4090?
The 1000W PSU came with my 3660 has two 8 pins and two 6 pin pigtails connectors (see
attached photo). So I'll need an adaptor to convert the two 6 pins pigtails into one 8 pins male? Any recommendations for the adapter cable. Thanks

@SEAINC Well you already have 2 of the 8 pin connectors and the link I provided will convert one of the 6 pin to an 8 pin. And this particular adapter at Amazon will convert 2 x 6 pin to 1 x 8 pin which is the adapter you specifically stated you are looking for.

I am a bit confused. Generally the 4080 or 4090 require either 2 x 6 pin connectors though some require 3 x 8 pin. The connectors in the picture should plug in as they are. If you need an additional 8 pin connector then you need a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter such as the 8 pins you already show. In that case an adapter like these at Amazon would be needed. I have never seen a video card that does not fit the pictured connectors. Do you have a picture of the video card you want to install or can you post the model number and manufacturer?

@JOcean The first photo is the power cable came out of the 1000W PSU. I read the 4080/90 need a 12 pins male to three 8 pins female adapter cable. Dell 1000W PSU as shown in above photo has only two 8 pins male so I thought I'll need to get an adapter cable to convert the two 6 pins pigtails into the one 8 pins. Am I correct? Thanks

Hey mate -- which GPU did you end up putting in? Did it work? I have a Precision 3660 tower with the 1000W PSU and was considering a 4080 Super Founders edition but I can't find any posts anywhere online showing that it can fit in the case. I have a RX 7900 XT in there right now.

Got the 1000W RD0G0 by a "Point Of Need" from DELL shipped from Norway for just £66 DELLivered. Now I can get a RTX 4080 Super using the suggested 2x 6pin Coupler to 1x 8pin.
