PowerVault TL2000's IBM drive won't take taps after power outage
We have a PowerVault TL2000 with a IBM ULT3580-HH8. We had a power outage in our area and the PowerVault lost power while it had a tape in the IBM drive. After power was restored, we could not get the tape to eject from the drive. We found a guide online on how to safely manually eject the tape and we put it back into only empty slot and then a library rescan. It saw all of the tapes in their correct spots and didn't show any error on the drive. When we tried to do a backup using Veeam that night like we always do, it failed. The web interface now shows the drive as having a error and status unknown. I've tried resetting, rebooting, and the diagnostic, but they are fail to help. And advice on something to try would be great or do we just need to replace the IBM drive at this point?

It looks like it could be a failed drive. It seems to think the tape isn’t compatible.

Hi,
You could try pulling the logs and seeing if it gives more information. https://dell.to/3dJ1I48

I made the dumps, but they are too large to post as text and there is no way to attach files on here.

You can upload them to https://dell.to/3dGsB97, afterwards please private message Josh and I the svc tag used to upload them, so that we can locate them. We can then review them and let you know what we find.
Thank you.

The link you provided me does not work. It just tells me "the site cannot be reached" no matter what browser I use. I even tried on a VPN to make sure nothing could be blocking it, but got the same result.
