Powervault MD3800i email alerts
Hello,
We have 2 powervaults md3800i and we want to receive email alerts every 24h with the system state.
I have made the necessary configuration, when we press the "test" button all is working as we want.
If we close, the "powervault modular disk storage manager" application the powervault stop sending emails.
it is possible to configure the both powervault to send email without needed to have the application open ?

Jrosa1989,
Normally it runs in the background and it doesn't need the software to be open. Would you confirm if you are running MDSM on a PC that is on the network, as well as what the current firmware version that you're running on the MD3800i?
Lastly, have you configured snmp traps on the systems, as that is how the emails are triggred to be sent.

yes, we have snmp working in our community for "solarwinds orion" reports us if the powervault goes down.
it is mandatory to have an machine on our network with the software MDSM installed to get the daily reports from powervaults?
our md3800i are running with the following versions:
Management software version: 11.25.0G06.0026
RAID Controller Module Firmware Version 08.25.08.60

We will deploy an machine to install the MDSM and make sure the SMmonitor service is running to start receive the email alerts events
