Powervault 114x LTO compatibility
Hello, I need to know if a PowerVault 114x works with LTO 7/8/9. We currently have an LTO 6 and would need to upgrade it. Could you please send me which products will work with this unit? Please include their part numbers and the firmware I should install.

Do you currently have a PowerVault 114X LTO-6? Those appear to be rack mount.
You may take a look at this:

It should handle media:
LTO-7
LTO-7 WORM
LTO-6
LTO-6 WORM
LTO-5 (READ ONLY)
LTO-5 WORM (READ ONLY)
As pre-sales information gathering I would urge you to contact sales and they can ask you questions, supply options and a quote.

I want to clarify that I am referring to the LTO6/7/8/9 internal tape drives.

Looks like the PV114x LTO-6 supports these media:
LTO-6
LTO-5
LTO-4

I would recommend contacting Sales. They can gather your criteria and supply you available options and a quote for purchase.

Hi Charles,
I'm not entirely sure whether the PowerVault 114X comes in different models depending on the LTO technology, or if the PV114X is simply the enclosure that powers the tape drive. Could you clarify this?
