MD3420 Password reset issue
Hello,
I'm trying to reset the password on an MD3420 using a Serial Cable connection.
I set my terminal session to the following parameters:
Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: none
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: none
I press CTRL + Break then S however nothing happens. I’m unable to see the Service Interface Main Menu. When I disconnect the module from the controller or when I reboot the controller I’m able to see text on the screen but when I try to input commands I doesn’t take them. It’s like I’m in read only mode.
Things I already attempted:
Removed modules
Removed battery from modules
Restarted controller
Please help!

All set. Had to set the baud speed to 9600 not 115200.

Dfracassa,
You can find the steps to reset the password on page 15 here.
Let me know if this helps.

@pkochanek-agawam.ma.us Would you be so kind to share the steps to reset the password without cleaning the array if possible? I just handed over an MD3420 connected with MD1200 expansion, and nobody knows the administrator password to change DNS and NTP servers. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
