Dell ME 4084 - quarantine pool group
Hello everyone,
I have a Sorage Dell ME4084 and one pool group is showing quarantine.
Does anyone have any suggestion on how to fix this?

Failure
Unable to dequarantine the vdisk.
The requested operation cannot be completed because the target disk group is an internal component. (00c0ff519c65000C3bed565f00000000) - Disk group XP-DG01 was not dequarantined. (2025-06-20 11:03:55)
I recommend contacting Dell Support directly. Since your error explicitly states that the disk group is an internal component, and the system is blocking dequarantine, this is a protected system-level disk group or the metadata is corrupted beyond safe recovery.
Dell Support intervention is required to:
Analyze controller logs
Determine if the disk group is recoverable
Use engineering tools to force dequarantine (if safe)

Hi,
Best method would be using the steps here: https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/powervault-me4084/ME4_Series_AG_Pub/remove-a-disk-group-from-quarantine?guid=guid-81eb90e9-392a-442c-ae26-d7bdf7cc2c44&lang=en-us but I assume you have already done as the error prompted.
In cases in such that you are unable to, you will need to contact Dell support as mentioned by Charles.

You might want to check for any failed disks or hardware issues in that specific pool. Also, review the system logs via Dell Storage Manager for detailed error codes. Rebooting the controller or running a pool recovery (if safe) can help but best to contact Dell Support before taking major actions.
