Hello,
Yes ME4 series can connect directly to servers. Please take a look pg 29 Dell PowerVault ME4 Series Storage System Deployment Guide

Hello Polym,
Currently you can’t use an ME412 storage expansion direct connected to a server. We are working on having that in the future for the ME systems.
