Can I connect PowerVault MD1400 to PowerVault ME4024 or ME424?

Hello all,

I have question about unsupported configuration. For example can PowerVault MD1400 be connected to PowerVault ME4024 or ME424? Should this configuration work theoretically or there could be some software limitation?

I can't find any information about this kind of backward compatibility between new and old generation PowerVault storage. I guess that this configuration will not acceptable by Dell despite both devices have active ProSupport.

Any info will be appreciated.

Hello drlinux64,

You would not be able to connect an MD1400 to a ME4024. Basically the issue is that they use 2 different softwares that are not compatible.
