Fresh installation of Server 2019 on T340

I have a brand new T340 server and I can't get Server 2019 to even begin to install. Whether I try with or without the Lifecycle Controller or not, i get the message it is booting from the Optical Disk and then the 'Press any key' prompt and after hitting a key I get:

I used the defaults recommended -- UEFI boot, Secure Boot Disabled, and Secure Boot Policy Standard...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

I think you're likely on the right track with removing the old array and redeploying. You might also look at clearing NVRAM. I say that because clearing it would cause everything preserved in UEFI to revert to factory defaults. Looking at the error message, it seems to be looking to EFI for something that isn't there. What I'd be hoping for with clearing is to remove any references that might be tripping the installer up. Out of curiosity, what BIOS revision is running on the server presently?

You might also consider an alternate install disc, but I'd think of that as a bit more of a long shot.

Hello,

do you have other error on the server?
You need to repair the installation of the OS.

You can follow this procedure to install OS in UEFI mode.

Thanks

No other issues with the server.

How do I repair the installation if this is a  bare metal server with no OS ever installed?

I have followed all the Dell procedures exactly as written  -- where is says it should be 'loading files' I get that UEFI error message.

I am going to try again by completely flushing the RAID setup and doing that in the Lifecycle utility just in case

thanks,

Clearing array did not help.  I will work on the clearing of NVRAM.  That might be a lead as this server was a Dell Outlet server and possibly there is leftover from ????? ...  and BIOS is 2.3.5

that said, your long shot was an easy one to try... i used a different computer with different software - and wow, worked like a charm.  I am stunned - but happy.

Thanks for the excellent long shot suggestion -- better play the lottery tonight...
