ESXi Tools

We have an XR2 with DellEMC-ESXi 6.7U2 installed.  PERC H730p

My question is... On this customize image, are there ant Dell tools to monitor the server?
For example to control or monitor, PERC, RAID?

If yes, is there a link where I can download the manual? Thanks.

Not by default, though tools are available. The Dell custom image just includes drivers. For hardware monitoring, OpenManage Server Administrator is what you would want to look at. There is also OpenManage Enterprise that can aid in management of larger device volumes. There is also PERCCLI for interfacing with the RAID controller from the OS.

It doesn't look like we have a 6.7 image for the Xr2, based on the support page, but if it's up and running, you should be good. To use OMSA, you need the software agent installed on the host, and then another instance installed in either a Linux (with desktop) or Windows environment. You can use this to manage the VMware server by selecting the option to manage a remote node, then entering the IP address.

You can also find all your manuals on the support page for the XR2: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/product-support/product/oth-r440-xr/manuals

OMSA 9.3 (VIB package): https://www.dell.com/support/home/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=hvg6d&oscode=xi67&productcode=poweredge-r440

OMSA 9.3 (Windows package): https://www.dell.com/support/home/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=kyntr&oscode=xi67&productcode=poweredge-r440

PERCCLI: https://www.dell.com/support/home/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=kft4t&oscode=xi67&productcode=poweredge-r440

It's a free software, no license to worry about.
