RAID1 Expansion and RAID10 Migration on R740 with PERC H730P Mini
Hello,
I am currently using a Dell PowerEdge R740 with two 1TB SATA disks configured in RAID1, using a PERC H730P Mini.
In this setup, I would like to know if it is possible to expand the existing RAID1 by adding additional disks.
If expansion is possible, I would appreciate it if you could share your knowledge regarding the number of additional disks required and whether migration to RAID10 is also supported.
Thank you.

Yes, on a Dell PowerEdge R740 with a PERC H730P Mini, RAID1 can be expanded, and RAID10 migration is also supported in Dell’s documented reconfiguration options
If your goal is RAID10 performance and redundancy, plan for at least 4 total disks, then expand in pairs after the array is already in RAID10
