PowerEdge R7615 unable to boot due to UEFI0459

Getting the following error messages when booting up PowerEdge R7615.

UEFI0459: The UEFI driver for the Broadcom MPI3 Boot Service Driver in an undefined location is indicating the status as Failed.

Restart the system. When the system is restarting, press the function (F11) key

to view the Boot Manager. On the Boot Manager page, select the Driver Health

Menu option.

One or more boot drivers require configuration changes.Press any key to load the driver health manager for configurations.

---

Tried configuring this and saw some of the disk has a foreign config so we attempted to clear them since this is a new appliance but the controller is in safe mode and in critical status so clearing the foreign config failed.

BIOS 1.11.2

Hi,

Try removing the H965i and reinstall the card. If the issue persist, you might need to log a case for a hardware replacement. If you did manage to resolve the issue, do share the information for the public.

I have experienced this issue with the PERC H755 Front (Embedded), on Dell R7650s. Was performing firmware upgrades on three systems, all three returned the same error and no longer see the raid controller or any disks. Obiviously I cannot remove the cards as they are embedded, and obviously not a hard a hardware failure as it occurred on 3 systems after firmware upgrades, all within 2 days of each other.

Hello cpaquin!

We don’t have a model called R7650. You could double check that for us or send your service tag by DM ‎Direct Messaging | DELL Technologies

For other models you can refer to “ Removing the rear mounting front PERC module”

Dell PowerEdge R760 Installation and Service Manual | Dell Bosnia and Herzegovina

Dell PowerEdge R750 Installation and Service Manual | Dell South Africa

Let us know if it helps.
