T430 PSU GPU connector pinout
Hello everyone, I have recently purchased a T430 and I plan to install a Tesla V100 GPU.
The PSU board has two 8pin CPU connectors and the V100 also has 8pin CPU connector.
I have checked the V100 GPU pinout and looking at the connector itself.
Top 4 pins (Pin 5-8) are 12V and the bottom 4 pins (Pin 1-4) are GROUND.
There are numerous of company who makes the power cable but I have seen reviews with incorrect pinout causing issues.
However I am unable to find any documentation of the PSU board side pinout.
But with a multimeter, and the 8pin connected to the PSU board,
facing the 4+4pin connector is reading the following:
Pin 1-3 (Top left Pin1) is +12V, Pin 4 (Top Right) is GROUND,
Pin 5-6 (Bottom left Pin5) is GROUND, Pin 7 is 3.3V, and Pin 8 (Bottom right Pin8) is GROUND.
Can anyone share their experiences or if anyone knows the DELL P/N for the power cable?
Thank you very much in advance!

Hello thanks for choosing Dell and welcome to our community.
I see some guidelines on page 124- however your server model is quite dated, and V100 GPU is recent, so I’m not sure how they could work together. I don’t think the cable part exist either.

GPU card installation guidelines
Observe the following guidelines while installing a GPU card:
● Ensure that all GPU cards are of the same type or model.
● You can install one double-width card on slot 4 and two single-width cards on slot 3 and slot 4 with single or dual processor
system.
● Systems with a double-width GPU card can support only one 5.25 inch removable media storage device.
● GPU cards must be installed on a system with redundant 1100 W AC power supplies.
● Your system supports GPU cards of only 300 W or less.

I did some digging and measurements from the power board pin out, and found the answer and made my own cable.
