Screen Resoulution Problem after updating the all bios and other stufs

I update my server machine using the idrac9 web interface. I did all the updates from downloads.dell.com. But now when I start the server and boot from USB to install the Linux server, it seems to change the resolutions to something and after selecting "install or try ubuntu", the screen does not display. I stucks in this screen:
How do I hide this message, WITHOUT changing my display settings back on my Samsung Monitor? : r/Monitors

How to solve this issue? is there any one has idea?

my server machine is dell poweredge R650xs.

Hello,

First try a flea power drain and check results:

drain flea power (shut down, disconnect power cables and Network cables, hold in power button 20 seconds with cords removed). After flea power drain, system has to set for 3 minutes for DRAC to reset without any power plugged in, then plug in NIC and power but wait 2 minutes before power on to give DRAC time to initialize.

Next can you test/troubleshoot with a standard VGA computer monitor and cable?

Try one of the screen resolution listed in the iDRAC9 owner manual:

Screen Resolution :

720x400

640x480

800x600

1024x768

1280x1024

1920x1200

It is recommended that you configure the monitor display resolution to 1920x1200 pixels.

@DELL-Charles R

Hi Charles,

I did what you said and test it with vga but the result is same. I cannot change screen resolution from screen itself, is there an option to change screen resolution of the startup from bios or idrac etc. ? if there is maybe the change of it can help.

Thanks.
