R750xd with a mix of SSD SAS and NVMe drives
Hi all,
We want to configure a R750xd with 2 x SSD SAS and 4 x NVMe drives placed on 6 first slots. We have asked about H755 controller that seems is ready to manage SAS/SATA and also NVMe drives but a provider says that for NVME we would need H755N but this is only ready to manage NVMe drives so we are not sure how configuration would be.

Hello,
You are correct the H755n is NVMe only. The H755 adapter will do SATA/SAS/NVMe.

H755 adapter is capable of- 3 Gbps SATA, 6 Gbps SATA/SAS, and 12 Gbps SAS, Gen3 (8 GT/s), and Gen4 (16 GT/s) NVMe

I'm not seeing a R750xd but we have these R750, R750xa, and R750xs
I'll note we don't have kits for changing backplane configuration.
Maybe your provider is making a custom system.
