PowerEdge R360 with H755 and NVMe disk support

Hi,

Is it possible to use NVMe SSD hard drives in the R360 server with H755 storage controller and 8x2.5" drive bay?

In the technical guide I can see, that H755 supports Gen4 NVMe but I didn't see NVMe disks in the supported drives...

Thanks

Hello,

I'll first note that we do not support field changing of backplane configuration. This is because there is not kit to do that.

The only NVMe drive I can find validated for the R360 is the BOSS-N1

Boot Optimized Storage Subsystem (BOSS-N1): HWRAID 2 x M.2 NVMe SSDs

And the supported Drives

● 8 x 2.5-inch hot-swappable SAS,SATA drives through PERC

● 4 x 3.5-inch hot-swappable SAS,SATA drives through PERC

● 4 x 3.5-inch hot-swappable SATA drives through chipset

So while the H755, per it's technical guide, can support NVME in certain configurations and systems it does not look supported for the R360.
