Need hep with a Donated r530

Greetings,

I am employed by a small non-profit that refurbishes/recycles 'older' computer hardware.  Recently, we received a R530 server that I need to update the firmware on.  I downloaded the exe files for the  bios and the idrac but could not access updates for any of the controllers/storage devices.  I am asking here, because I installed Proxmox 8.4.x and the machine hangs right after attempting to activate the Raid Controller.  What are my options?

Just some things to try, the default idrac Username and Password are root and calvin, so I would start with trying those. 

If you do need to reset the iDrac you can do so by holding down the System Identification button on the front of the server, or you can use the racadm racresetcfg command.

You can find other means to reset the idrac here

Thanks for your reply.  Sorry for the tardy reply.  My hours are limited with my employer currently.  Now as for my r530.  Since it was donated, the previous owner neglected to clear the idrac password.  So, currently I cannot reset it. I will try to reinstall proxmox. and install the tools necessary to try and reset the password.  Otherwise,  I may end up scrapping it.
