iDrac Licence import - LIC016 error
Hi there,
I have a Dell NX3240 server system that had iDrac 9 Enterprise and OpenManage Enterprise licences. I wanted to test out the Datacenter edition and so I exported the two licences, downloaded a Datacenter trial and imported it. All good so far.
Now, the Datacenter trial has expired and I am trying to import the original Enterprise and OpenManage Enterprise licences and am getting this error: LIC016: The feature dependencies of the license are not met.
I've tried resetting iDrac to factory settings, but nothing is working. I purchased this server second hand and have initiated the owner transfer, but it looks like this will take quite some time. Once that's done, I should be able to download the licences through my account.
In the meantime, is there anything I can do?
Thanks!

Hello,
If the server was purchased second-hand, the iDRAC license may not work because the ownership is still registered to the previous owner. To fix this, you’ll need to complete an Ownership Transfer on Dell’s website. Once the transfer is complete, you’ll be able to access support and license services.
Thanks

Hello I am facing same issue my mother board was replaced before that we exported server profile and the licenses, once the mobo was replaced the ST was updated to match the previous one and is not allowing it to import it. getting this LIC016 error, and I don't have access to the dell digital locker, the previous person managing these is now gone from company, is there a way to get the license again or recover access to this dell digital locker?
