TPM device not found

Optiplex 5060 -- been working fine for years but since the Windows 11 update KB5060829 late June 2025 the system will not boot-up unattended.  After post we get "TPM device not found" and can F1 to retry (which always allows the system to boot-up to Windows) F2 for set-up or F5 for diagnostics.

No changes were made in BIOS, but I made sure the Secure Boot section was ON and DEPLOYED.

The reason for posting this --- the 5060 is used as a remote accessed server.  The console is rarely used and any shutdown, power failure, or re-set means time and travel.  I figure this HAS to be a Microsoft problem but their techs tell me to reach out to Dell.

@bradthetechnut Thank you.  Battery is new.  SFC /scannow  discovered a problem and repaired it.  (don't have details)  So far that seemed to fix the issue, but we're  keeping our fingers crossed.

The 5060 was released in 2018.  Size 2032 MB batteries are usually only good around 5 years.  Bad batteries affect BIOS and therefore PC operation.  That could explain TPM not being found.  I know it's not convenient, the 1st step would be try replacing the battery.

I also moved this thread to the Optiplex forum.
