Can i upgrade my Optiplex 7010 DT more? (Read Description)
Hello, i have finally settled in an upgrade. I will upgrade, My PSU (550 W), My Tower, My GPU (GTX 1650 No Low profile), My CPU (i7-3770), My RAM (32 GB), And, My CPU and GPU cooling systems (Tower comes with more fans). I was wondering if i could change the gpu or cpu with these upgrades, (I am saying relative with these upgrades (PSU, TOWER), i did not upgrade my MB, it should be a CPU and/or a GPU with the same pin connections as the MB) Thank You.

you have the
and it is correct that DT stock psu is 250w
unfortunately you can not upgrade in the DT case if you like to have the listed components
however if you move your motherboard to a mini tower case or full tower, those upgrades are doable
you would need to move the DT front panel to the new case too, or buy a custom FIO adapter to use the new case power switch

the psu is from no name brand. do not recommend
7010 DT has a M3 fixed backplate. do not recommend Arctic tower cooler
the gpu cooler is overkill for GTX 1650
new case has its own 10 fan cooler, but again overkill for an old 7010 pc running a low power gpu. the fans are good for looking only. no practical benefit only get more dust in

besides cpu fan you only need 2 chassis fans. no need for gpu fan
psu is not from a reputable name brand. that is risky. you can just use the Dell oem psu in new case. 1650 does not need a psu upgrade

@CreeperAGR_01 You're main goal is to run the GTX 1650, right? Suggestion: Just run the 1650 LP in your DT case. No need to rebuild the whole thing.
If you want to build your own go with non-Dell mATX MB. It'll be a lot easier than trying to adapt a Dell MB in a mATX case.

@redxps630 Hello, thank you for the response, i am going to get a newcase, but it is a normal case with fans n the middle, where do i get an FIO adapter for the 7010 DT? the DT is very rare

7010 MT DT chassis fan header is Dell proprietary 5 pin 4 wire. to connect new case fan you would need a fan adapter.

non-Dell case typically uses standard 3 pin connector. If the new case fan is connected to a discrete fan controller of the case, then there is no fan connected to Dell motherboard, which may trigger a bios error of chassis fan failure.

how many fans can i put in at max?
Also, can you review these items for me to see if i would make a full pc with them? (some items are going to be bought twice or more, also, dont count the motherboard and storage, im going to move those. @bradthetechnut The reasons im trying to change the case for are, aesthetic, versatility in future upgrades, and the price of the LP 1650 being 3 times the price of a normal one. Thanks!
