XPS 8300 - DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card - Not Enabled

Hi, i have an XPS 8300 - Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

DW1501 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini Card

I am able to install drivers, and the card is shown in my device manager as well as network connections.

My issue here is the card is DISABLED. I am not able to Enable it.

I tried uninstalling my Antivirus AVG, i disabled Microsoft's Firewall, i uninstalled the driver and deleted driver from my system.

When i reboot the system, the card can be detected and i install the driver.

But still not able to ENABLE the connection.

http://www.home-network-help.com/wlan-autoconfig-service.html

I found out what is wrong.

Could be when i used the AVG PC Tuneup Optimization.

It prompted to DISABLE the WLAN as i am using Wired and on a PC system.

I was looking around and clicked diagnose and just searched for

Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter.

One of the post came out that we need to enable it from Services.

zzxxzzxx,

Please continue with DELL-Vikram M

When you reinstalled the operating system, did you install the Dell System Software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Start with the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

Hi,

I did not reinstall my system.

Was using wired, and got my wireless disabled. Been using wired for more than 1 year on it.

Upgraded my cable internet to Fibre internet, but the modem has to be placed in the hall, so need to connect thru wireless.

So i needed to re-enable what had previously worked.

zzxxzzxx,

I read the first thread, didn't realize you didn't start a new thread.

Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled

Try removing AVG using the AVG Removal Tool then restart your computer.
