XPS 13 9350 - What wireless card - can't update Wireless driver with new Dell driver posted 22 Feb 16

Today Dell posted a new driver for the wifi card: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 Driver, W10

I tried to install but it won't install. Said platform not supported. (Name of Exit Code: ERROR_INSTALL_PLATFORM_UNSUPPORTED).  My device driver lists my wifi card as: Dell Wireless 1820A 802.11AC

I don't get it - don't all 9350's have the same wireless card? Dell's website lists this for all models as the NIC card: DW1820A 2x2 802.11ac 2.4/5GHz + Bluetooth4.1

Do we delete the driver software installed and then the Intel will install? Otherwise I don't know why Dell offers this driver update for a machine that does not have the Intel card in it.

Peace.

kentjapan,

The XPS 9350 shipped with either the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 or the Dell Wireless 1820A wireless cards. If the driver you are trying to download is giving this error, they you may have the other wifi card.  If needed click the link below and add your system service tag in the box to detect system configuration.
