Wireless and bluetooth drivers problem?!

Hi,

I bought Dell Inspiron 3537 laptop with Ubuntu OS, but recently done clean installation of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

Some info about device:

BIOS - A05

Intel Core i5 - 4200 CPU

RAM - 6 GB

The problem is, I can't install driver DW1704_W7_A01_Setup, when files are unziped and installation starts I keep getting an error: "Activate Bluetooth using Wireless Switch".

I don't understand what that means. I was reading for a few hours on same problems but can't find the answer, I checked out Bluetooth Radios and I have "Generic Bluetooth Adapter" and "Enumerator" that means m laptop have bluetooth right? I tried pressing "Fn + F2" or just "F2" but nothing works, and also I tried going to BIOS to see if Bluetooth is enabled but I can't find it, I don't know where that option is.

Also, there are some other drivers that should be installed according to Device Manager such as:

Network Controller (probably because dw1704 can't be installed), PCI Simple CC, SM Bus Controller, USB Controller.

Here are screenshots of my system, drivers I have etc. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/obscpucc4ybwjgc/ReyLPr-GDB

Please help!

Best regards,

Mate

MateAjdukovic,

When you installed the operating system, did you install the Dell System Software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Start with the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

Thank you both! :)

I solved problem. I needed to install all the drivers I could first, for my model of Dell computer, and because all drivers could not install I needed to find drivers that will work, paste instance path etc. like Rockstar Rick and Manoy Yall stated above.

For someone with same problem, just go here: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriversHome/ShowProductSelector and enter your Service Tag, you can find that number on the back of your laptop.

Install all the drivers Dell finds, and if some drivers wont install go to this website: http://philipyip.wordpress.com/unofficial-driver-sets/dell-wireless-cards/ I found it very helpful. Enter your Device Instance Path and see which drivers are suitable for your model.

To find the Device Instance Path click ''Start'' and type ''device manager'' in search box, next, right click on yellow icon, for the device you need to install drivers, click ''Properties'', go to ''Details'', that is third tab from the left, and for ''Property'' find ''Device Instance Path'' it is something like '' pci ven_8086&dev_1e3a'', type it here: http://philipyip.wordpress.com/unofficial-driver-sets/dell-wireless-cards/ and install drivers!

Hope this helps someone! :)

Have a great day all of you,

Mate
