WiFi will not connect with Windows 10
Just purchased an Inspiron 14 with Windows 10, and I cannot connect to my WiFi. Yes I've tried many "solutions" I've found online, and none of them work. My network is visible, the signal is strong, I've entered the correct network key and the computer starts to go through the connection process (revolving dot circle). It finally stops and says that connection can't be made. Every other device I've tried connecting to this network connects with no problems. Is this a Windows 10 problem? Any solutions out there? Thanks.

Thanks for your suggestions. I was able to solve the problem by connecting using the WPS button on the router. I was trying to connect by entering the network password which for some unknown reason did not work. So if anyone has this same problem with a new device running Windows 10 I would suggest you try connecting with the router's WPS button. By the way, once I connected Windows automatically retained my network info, and now I automatically connect on startup. Thanks.

Hi,
Two quick suggestions. First, update the firmware on your router. Win10 uses some different communication protocols than previous versions and, just like updating drivers on your wireless card, you need to update the firmware that runs the communications ability of your router. You should have gotten documentation on how to update the firmware when you purchased the router, of if you got it from your ISP they can show you how to do that.
Second, (only if #1 doesn't work) what happens if you take all security settings off that router and connect? If it connects without any security requirements in place then it's a setting in the security and/or laptop that needs to be corrected. (I actually think this would be cleared up with a firmware update so definitely try this second.) If you do test this make sure you replace all the security settings after the test.
