Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

My Dell Vostro Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller will  not connect at gigabit speeds on our LAN. All other laptops will (broadcom adapters).

Does anyone know how to get gigabit speeds?

Ok so I fixed  this by installing the 2012 driver from dell site. I had previously installed a 2014 driver from the realtek site.? I would have thought the later driver, which installed with no errors, was better. ???

I have the same problem with a l502x.

My realtek Gbit pcie family controller seems to be fine but when I try to connect to the network it work at a 10Mb/s speed.

I've tried several drivers (from 7 something to the latest from the realtek site).

I've changed several network cables (which are OK for GB connection on other machines).

Everything seems to start with the bios update to A12.

Can you help?
