No Bluetooth in settings
I'm unable to turn on or off Bluetooth option in settings (Inspiron 1440, Win 10-64bit).
I have tried windows update for the system.
I have tried installing network driver R228532 which produced an Error- "Setup.rul 318 has occurred and Setup cannot continue.
No Events found!

Hi,
Does your Inspiron 1440 have the Dell 365 bluetooth card in it? I believe that was the bluetooth card that came standard with that model. Assuming so, you may want to check out this thread regarding Windows 10 drivers for the Dell 365 bluetooth card. Since the Inspiron 1440 isn't on the list of systems tested to be compatible with Windows 10 that may be the only way to get a compatible driver installed, and allow you to turn bluetooth on and off.

Thanks for the speedy reply well I should have first checked the BIOS for the card that would have been the end.
I checked the system for the Dell 365 bluetooth card under Network using msconfig32 but was unable to find it.
I did a search while in msconfig32 for blutooth and saw entries under Software Environment: Loaded Modules – bluetoothapis, Services - Bluetooth Handsfree Service and Bluetooth Support Service.
I also checked Device Manager for the Dell 365 bluetooth card under Network Adapters and System Devices but no sign of the card.
Online I did see a ‘Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth Module Card Board Dp/n 0rm948 Rm948’ on sale at Amazon for $3.97.
I tried to install the Broadcom driver ‘h0wz07ww’ but got an error ‘no Bluetooth device detected’ so I checked the bios for the card.
The BIOS showed under: Settings/General/System Information/Bluetooth Device {none}.
So since the Inspiron 1440 was not in the list of Computers tested for upgrade to Windows 10 I will stop at this point.
