ethernet drivers
I installed a new hard drive on my dell XPS 8300. It has an integrated ethernet card. I have the restore cd's and installed windows, installed drivers in order as said. Still no ethernet drivers. Where in all this information do I find it? There is one listed as a mini card driver but it does not say ethernet.
Everything installed okay except there is no internet because there are no ethernet drivers to run it. Nothing shows available under my network connections.
Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for the link. I couldn't find that on mydell site. Do I just run the exe. file and that's it?

Are there also seperate drivers for the usb ports? Is it imperative to install in the exact order that dell says?

See here about details for the installation order and also for installing the drivers:
http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/downloading-drivers-checking-hardware-ids-and-downloading-and-installing-dell-system-drivers-in-the-correct-order/driver-installation/
I have a video at the bottom which explains installing the drivers. They need to extract and install and not only install. The installation order isn't as critical for Windows 7 but the chipset drivers should definitely be installed first.

I wa following the list on dells website to install but I reversed the video and audio installations. Should I go back and redo them in the right order?
I did't realize till now what I did, I wrote them down as I installed. So what I have now is complete down to the ethernet card, but instead of the video drivers in the list I installed the audio drivers.
Thank you again for your help.

It'll work fine as long as the chipset was installed before the rest.
