DW1501 Wireless card not connected
I recently installed Windows 7 64-bit Professional and installed all drivers required on my Dell Inspiron N5010.
All works perfectly except the wireless card, and when I say everything I really mean every single thing in this laptop works except wireless.
It seems I cannot turn on the wireless card and the Dell PC Diagnostics is telling me that the wireless card is disconnected.
I have all drivers installed and I installed them in the order it was suggested on this forum. In the device manager it tells me the driver is installed and that the device is working properly.
I turned the Wifi on with the F2 button but it still doesn't work. Dell QuickSet is saying that the Wifi is turned on but the wireless card is not working.
Can you please help me? Is there anything I can do?

ariel.demian,
I can give you drivers to download and install, but let's first try this...
Download and run the AVG Removal Tool then restart your computer. See if you can connect. If you still cannot connect, then Start, control panel, programs and features, Zone Alarm, uninstall.
Restart your computer and try to connect.

ariel.demian,
Can you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and REGISTERED OWNER and post the information back here.
When you installed the operating system, did you install the Dell System Software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
Start with the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.
What virus program and firewall are you using?

Yes. I installed everything in the order you mentioned and everything went smoothly except for the wireless card.
I am using AVG Free and ZoneAlarm as firewall.

I actually physically opened the laptop and took a look at the wireless card to see if it's in place. Everything seems alright in there. I closed the laptop and put everything back together again and turned it on. I'm writing right now from the laptop with the wired connection.
It just seems like the wireless card is dead. The strage thing is that right before the new Windows install it worked. I had Windows 7 32-bit before and got some viruses. Now with the new install the wireless card is like dead: no activity.
OH! STRANGE THING is that the Bluetooth is working fine.

Oh! It Worked! Thank you so much!
I uninstalled ZoneAlarm and AVG, rebooted and wifi worked. Now I installed AVG again and see if it works.
Merry Christmas! Thank you again!
Hope you are well. I read on your profile about your health issues. It's important to exercise, even if it's hard at first.

Hi Rick,
On my N5010, facing issues with turning on WIFI. it was working fine from several years and now suddenly stopped working on Windows 10. I tried deleting and installing DW1501 wireless adapter but no luck. Could you please assist.
Thanks
Nick
