Dimension 9200 / XPS 410 Wireless connection????
Hello , I would have tried a search to answer this question , but couldn't find a search option . In any event , I have a Dell XPS 410 . It has been a great PC . Last year around this same time capacitors on the motherboard burned up and I had to have someone replace it for me . While replacing the part , I also upgraded to Windows 7 . It's really nice now . My question is : since my XPS 410 did not come set up for a wireless connection and has no wireless card , what are the best options for me to put this PC on a home network in another area of my home ? I would like to use it in my office , away from the cable modem and wireless network router that is running the home network at this time . It is a Netgear N600 wireless router that I would like to connect with , and I am wondering ; do I need a wireless card installed on the motherboard or , in my search for answers I have noticed USB wireless adapters . And I would just like to know which would be best for me in terms of distance/reception , etc .
Any suggestions or recomendations would be greatly appreciated .
Thank you in advance ;
