Dell Latitude e3540: Cant install Wi-Fi drivers on Dell Latitude E3540 for Win7 32bit...please help?
Hi,i bought a Dell Latitude E3540 laptop, in the start workshop guy installed Win7 ultimate of 64bit everything was working fine, but due to my office IT requirement i had to install Win7 Professional of 32bit after tht i installed all the drivers from my dell support website by giving my express service code all drivers were installed and working properly except Wi-Fi drivers in device manager two drivers are yellow highlighted i.e. "Network Controller" & "PCI simple Communications Controller".
I found and tried installing by searching Hardware ID's but still no success please help me out....attached are the Hardware ID's for wifi device.
HELP required...

Hello wasimbhatti,
Thanks for the detailed post. Looks like you’re missing a Chipset driver and the Dell Wireless driver. Unfortunately when chipset drivers are not installed first it can cause issues with other driver installation after so it’s always recommended to clear any chipset installations initially after a new install.
Hopefully we just need to get that driver installed though. Here is a link to the systems Chipset drivers.
Intel Lynx Point Chipset

If these fail to install I would recommend attempting to manually install from the device manager or using the Intel Auto update tool: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect
After installing the missing chipset driver, the Dell Wireless card should install from the following link.

Hello Shawn B,
I bought a DELL Latitude 3540. I have also the same issue of wireless driver. When i am trying to install the driver it show that this siftware can't be installed on the computer. I have gone through the steps you have posted, but still i am not getting any result. please let me know how can i resolve it?
