Thanks a lot for this tip, Nicholas,
I had been trying for a long time and it only worked when I held down the button.
I can't understand why this is not mentioned in the Quick Start Guide.
Best regards,
Cyro

Hello Ivancito
The specifics of installing these speakers on your system will depend on the model and version of Windows installed on your computer. Please see the installation guide bellow for a general installation guide.
Dell AC411 Bluetooth Speakers User Guide
ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/Common/dell-ac411_User's%20Guide_en-us.pdf
If you have any issues with the guide then please let me know which operating system you are running.
Thanks

Shawn,
I am having the same issue with the AC411 speakers that came with my T3610. None of the manuals are helpful and we called Dell support since they sold the speakers along with the PC and after being transferred three times we gave up. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Hello RADAR461234,
I’m sorry about the trouble you had on the phone. Are you also attempting a Bluetooth connection between these speakers and your system or a direct wired connection?
If Bluetooth I would suggest updating the software and drivers associated with your Bluetooth adapter and attempt to pair again.
If wired I recommend checking and reseating cables, if available test known good speakers or headphones with the audio parts on your system to confirm they are functioning well.
Thanks

The link is to the Quick Start Guide that we already have and doesn't provide any answers

Just got a new XPS 8700 and these speakers (separately from Dell). The Speakers won't "pair", nor will the speakers show up in the "add device" tool. I'm not sure why I want my speakers to pair with Bluetooth, since they are wired into woofer, and the woofer into the computer (and wired to the remote)...

Turns out... I don't want to pair my speakers to my computer via Bluetooth. With the audio cables hooked up from the woofer to the computer, the speakers work without having to pair via Bluetooth nor adding the device. I just needed to turn up the volume a little (I guess). The speakers are working fine, now (without Bluetooth).

Glad to hear the speakers are working for you wired but the fact is they should work with bluetooth. I prefer to have as little wires at the back of my pc (XPS8700) as possible. I had already installed the 8.1 upgraded prior to getting the AC411's but as I normally do from time to time, which is to do a fresh install, which brought me back to factory setting (plain windows 8) and the bluetooth worked like a charm. As soon as I did all my custom configs to get it where I wanted & them upgraded to windows 8.1 it stopped, just as before :(. Driver upgrade needed please or a stable work around. Device can pair but immediately after says not connected!!!!

Thank you, Nicholas.
This worked for me too... while searching to add a device, I held down the bluetooth button (approx 40sec) until the AC411 was detected.
Cheers,
Rob.

I have Windows 7 and I can't connect the AC411 to my computer. Also, not sure what makes it wireless. I assume that the wires are removed after installation? The speaker in button on the back of my computer is broken so I can't connect the woofer to my computer.

First turn on the speaker's power button, and then the BT detecting mode (press and hold the bluetooth button in the remote control for 2 seconds, will appear a blinking blue light under this button). Then turn on the cellphone's BT and press 'scan' (if any), you'll see a new item "Dell AC411" on the device list, tap it and that's done.
Dell AC411 Bluetooth feature, successfully tested with Android GB and ICS, and iOS 8.

Does the AC411 subwoofer need to be hardwired to the back of the computer, the basic diagram shows it this way, but what would be the point of the Bluetooth connection if that is the case?
I cant get the Bluetooth connection working, it shows up on my device list as a headphone, the volume settings are at about 75, but no sound...very strange.
Any advice? Thanks, Andy
