1100 INSPIRON Wi-FI CHIP Door is on bottom of most laptops of this series
Google has a photo gallery for Inspiron Wi-Fi chip being shown on the bottom(LINK) https://www.google.com/search?q=dell+inspiron+1100+wifi+card+location&biw=1280&bih=923&tbm=isch&imgil=tQZc2YybWR89WM%253A%253BF5ivT0tT3iYsoM%253Bhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ifixit.com%25252FGuide%25252FRemoving%2525252Bthe%2525252BDell%2525252BInspiron%2525252B1150%2525252BModem%2525252BCard%25252F2925&source=iu&pf=m&fir=tQZc2YybWR89WM%253A%252CF5ivT0tT3iYsoM%252C_&usg=__Mm6zGfdov5hFM-YlFWTrH79e_Os%3D&ved=0CE8Qyjc&ei=Z_T7VOL9NsWcgwThjoPoBg#imgdii=_&imgrc=tQZc2YybWR89WM%253A%3BF5ivT0tT3iYsoM%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fd3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net%252Figi%252FJSPrBPcEA6ORPvqs.medium%3Bhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ifixit.com%252FGuide%252FRemoving%252Bthe%252BDell%252BInspiron%252B1150%252BModem%252BCard%252F2925%3B592%3B444 AND...Wi-Fi chip for the bottom is nowhere near as costly as the ones that fit into that pcmcia slot. How do you post a photo of the WiFi chip on this forum that people are needing? The Wi-Fi chip has 2 *tiny wires* that has snap on terminals and the chip itself just sits beside the normal phone modem under the same door underneath the Inspiron 1100 and the 4140. I do own both versions of these Inspirons and intend to upgrade the stock DvD optic drive with a DvD Burner as well as that Wi-Fi Chip installed back in its stock location on the bottom where the factory had it
