VLTi Speed

When setting up a pair of interfaces to be VLTi do they need to be the same speed? I am specifically looking at adding a 100G and 25G interface to be the discovery-interface. Would this work? If this will not work, would I be better off in just having one 100G VLTi or move it over to two 25G VLTi?

Thanks

Hello,

I think maximum bandwidth and redundancy, using multiple 100G interfaces for the VLTi is the way to go to ensure both speed and reliability. While you can mix different speeds like 100G and 25G, it’s generally better to keep them consistent. Using interfaces of the same speed for VLTi ensures better synchronization and minimizes potential issues.

Typically, one 100G interface is the best choice for most setups due to its simplicity and performance. Two 25G interfaces can be considered for redundancy or cost reasons.
