'Third party and is disabled' log question.

Hi !

Today i tried to connect 25G link but when i insert the SFP28 SFP with Convertor.

Occured log message as below and interface is not coming up.

Dell EMC (OS10) %EQM_MEDIA_PRESENT: Media inserted . Media SFP28 25GBASE- (QSA) in slot:1 port:1 serianumber:M0114231002222 is third party and is disabled

also, i configured command as below for using 3rd tranceivers

interface breakout 1/1/1 map 25g-4x

allow unsupported-transceiver

unlock third-party transceiver

when i inserted 10G SFP+ into same interface it was working very well.

Someone know the reason ? why 25G SFP28 is not working.

(Acturally i inserted 25G SFP for 30km DWDM)

Here is the information for Dell Switch

Mung10,

Based on page 7 of the guide here you see it doesn't list the 25g directly,

The S5200F-ON Series switch includes:

● S5212F-ON: twelve 25GbE SFP28 ports and three 100GbE QSFP28 ports

● S5224F-ON: twenty-four 25GbE SFP28 ports and four 100GbE QSFP28 ports

S5232F-ON: thirty-two 100GbE QSFP28 ports and two 10GbE SFP+ ports

● S5248F-ON: forty-eight 25GbE SFP28 ports, four 100GbE QSFP28 ports, and two 200GbE QSFP-DD ports

● S5296F-ON: ninety-six 25GbE SFP28 ports and eight 100GbE QSFP28 ports

but the 100G ports would support 25G,  so the issue is likely the use of a 30km distance transceiver, which might be the problem instead of using a short range..

Let me know if this helps.
