Dell OS10 and VLT

Hello, I have a question on VLT setup. All the documentation lists the use of the mgmt IP and I don’t use that port. I create VLANs with IPs and VRRP (I saw you should configure VRRP after VLT) so my question is can I use one of the IPs defined on a VLAN for VLT? I haven’t tried it, figured I’d ask before I go down that path.

thanks

We never use something from the MGMT IP for your iVLT setup. They always use there own IPs and which is also true for the Heartbeat.  This is how we start with Force10 ages ago.

@Origin3k thanks, I did manage to find a document that did say you can use an IP configured within a VLAN. I never used VLT in OS9 but figured I’d give it a try in OS10. CLI difference and figuring out what is enabled by default has been a bit of a learning curve. LLDP enabled by default, Rx on, Tx off by default, IGMP snooping, RSTP etc etc my new config is looking a lot smaller.
