Networker Clones vs Data Domain Replication
Currently networker uses clones to replicate data to a second data domain at a DR site. Instead of using clones could I turn on replication with data domain, and would networker be aware that the data was also at the DR site.

No. NW is aware of replication if it is application controlled (CCR using DD Boost). If you use DD replication, then NW is not aware of it and to use it requires couple of manual steps prior to be able to use it.

As H, already mentioned you will have to use Clone Controlled Replication configured for NetWorker to be aware of the duplicate copy of the data. Also, this needs DDBoost to be enabled.
