NetWorker backup without clients
Helo guys!
We have Networker 8.2 and a group of phisical machines and virtual machines in vmware esxi 6.0. Networker and vmware not integrated.
So I interesting if it is necessary to install client on machines to make backup?
No Events found!

yes you need to install nwr client on these vms as well. This will be
called Guest level backup

Sure. NW cannot really determine whether these are physical or virtual machines.

Thanks! One more question about virtual machines, if I will install nwr proxy to vcenter it still be necessary to install clients?

Are u planning to use VBA or Vadp to back up your vms ?? Or simply install networker client and back them . It is not recommended to use both methods . Kindly download networker 8.2.x integration guide with vmware for detailed information.

With vproxy/VBA/VADP, client install is not needed.

May I suggest you better upgrade to NW 9 and use NVP.
