Changing Data Domain Device SaveSet Source
Hello,
i have to migrate backup data from one data domain to a new one. Therefore I used a collection replication and the replication finished on the new device. I now want to restore from the new data domain system.
I am rarely remeber that i could change the path to the savesets to the new data domain ( devices) but i missed where and how i could manage that.
Anyone got a clue?

@Patric,
During a restore progress all NetWorker searches for is the volume name and the volume name on the replicated data is same as that on the source. Once the issue a mount command to the newly created DD device and this volume mounts you are ready for restoring the data that is contained in this volume no further changes required on the NetWorker end.

You will have to create a new device with the access path relevant to the respective device, then just mount the device on netWorker. NOTE : DO not relabel the new device.

Hi crazyrov,
so i am using the networker data domain device wizard and create a new device.
Example:
old system was dd860old
newsystem is dd4200new
Collection replication is done and synced.
I add the data domain device dd4200new and mark all folders on the device and then mount it (no labeling).
Do i have to adjust the path that restore and backup operations use dd4200new instead of dd860old? If so - where can i change this? To test everything i would disable the device dd860old and i hope any restore and backup operations are moving on the dd4200new device.

AS Crazyrov described - Networker Change of Data Domain Devices is so easy.
First I broke up the collection replication
Then I added the new data domain system to Networker using the Wizard (no label / no mount).
Afterwards I unmounted the old devices and mounted the new devices.
Afterwards restore and backup performed as if nothing changed
