Browseable backup not visible in networker user
Hello,
Scenario
we have a VM who has storage presented to it (not a vmdk within a lun). When you go to back up the full VM it cannot back up these disks. I installed the traditional client and backed up the physical drives. I then modified the client in networker from traditional to virtual and backed up the "fullvm".
my thoughts were that i could, if i ever needed to, restore the VM's snapshots and then also restore the other data to wherever i wanted.
What i find is that when i go to restore via networker user i can ONLY see the C drive data (from the vullvm). Changing the browse time does not manifest the other data that was backed up.
i can see the save sets in the index of the VM.
i can see them listed when i browse for a safe set restore
they are all listed as browsable (decade for browse/recover).
Why can i not see the traditional backup data in networker user?

sorry for the delay,
i opened a support ticket for this. To answer your question, and show a solution, this is what happened.
Versions does not display ANY of the discrete disk backups. I dont seem to have the ability to show ANY of them by using "networker user".
however, as the support tech suggested, if i used the rightclick>recover option on the client defined in networker management console, i am able to view all of them.
To be blunt, i never used that context sensitive restore option before. i always used the entworker user client at the desired client.
as this will work, im happy with the solution.

If you do versions are they displayed? If yes, can you use savetime exactly as displayed by versions output?
