U4025QW, Thunderbolt port question

Dell U4025QW

Dell U4025QW

Forgive my ignorance/dumb question, but I just want to make sure. I'm running a ThinkpPad P1 Gen 6 connected to a ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Workstation Dock. What TB port on my U4025QW should I connect to the dock TB port? My reading of the quick-setup sheet says to use the upstream U4025QW TB port. But I'm confused because it says the U4025QW upstream TB port does the 140W power delivery which I don't need obviously. And no, probably won't use any the monitor's other ports b/c of the ThinkPad dock. TIA

It is a great question!

It is unknown by Dell if the ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 --> ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Workstation Dock will drive the U4025QW to 5120x2160 120Hz. You will just have to test it.

The U4025QW Quick Start Guide shows to use the #6 TB4 140W upstream port =

The U4025QW User’s Guide pages 16/17 show to use the #6 TB4 140W upstream port. The #5 TB4 downstream port is ONLY used for Daisy Chaining a second monitor.

This is also shown on page 47 =
