U4025QW, removable protective film?

Just setting up a new Dell display, the 40" UltraSharp curved thunderbolt, model U4025QW. There was a little piece of tape with some icons on it on the lower left corner of the screen that wrapped around to the surface of the display itself. Nothing came off when I removed it. I'm wondering if there is a removable protective film on the screen that that was supposed to help remove and given that it didn't, should I be trying to remove some protective film from the screen? Inspecting the display visually, there doesn't seem to be any film on the screen but I'd love to confirm that "officially."
