U2724DE, P2419H, two PC setup and usage
I have scenario that my main laptop is connected over USB-C Thunderbolt to U2724DE (acting as docking station) and daisy chained using DisplayPort cable to P2419H monitor. This is working fine.
I have also a PC connected over HDMI to U2724DE. This is also working fine when I switch input source on U2724DE to HDMI.
The effect I would like to achieve is while HDMI from PC is being displayed on U2724DE then I would like to see my main laptop input on P2419H. Is that possible at all?
Once I switch input on U2724DE from Thunderbolt to HDMI then daisy chained P2419H goes blank, I would like it to keep displaying.

I think the only way is to add another HDMI to HDMI cable. I also do not think that a monitor emulation of a dock is the same as a stand alone docking station.

Yes, directly connect PC to U2724DE and connect laptop to P2419H. No daisy chaining on monitors.

Unfortunately, a monitor from the daisy chained monitors can not display from inactive input. To make it work, disconnect P2419H from daisy chaining and directly connect P2419H to the laptop.

You state the Laptop has TB/USB-C but did not mention if the Laptop has another video out port to connect to P2419H HDMI in or VGA in?

Laptop is only connected over usb-c/TB. It has HDMI port which is not used.
Are you saying that I should connect P2419H with laptop using additional HDMI cable?
I would like to avoid that because I am unplugging it quite often and using only usb-c is convenient.
Besides, before having U2724DE I was using standalone docking station and it was working as desired - 2nd monitor kept displaying laptop output and PC was displaying over HDMI to 1st monitor.

Is it really only an emulation?
It has all necessary ports (including RJ45), and advertised as docking station.
