U2723QE, DDPM V2.0.0.0015 broke my function keys
Mac mini M2 running Sequoia 15.3.1
Dell U2723QE monitor
Firmware Version - M2T105
Satechi Slim W3 Keyboard
MODEL: ST-UCSW3M - https://satechi.net/products/slim-x3-wired-backlit-keyboard
I installed the DDPM update without any issue and then noticed that the function keys to increase and decrease sound are not working. Other function keys are also not responding.
Restarted. Went into the control panel to re-identify the keyboard....it appears (as I type) that only the function keys have stopped working.
Not sure what to do next?

OK, so I seem to have solved this, in a roundabout way. I happened to create a second user profile on my Mac and the sound keys on my keyboard wouldn't work, despite them working under a different profile. The issue was in fact SoundSource from Rogue Amoeba (great product!) and a setting in the software that you need to tick to take control of those keys with the Dell monitor.
But...this is where it is a bit odd...I had that setting ticked with the latest version of DDPM and it wasn't working...but I just tried DDPMv2.1.0.0016 again....and this time, it works. So I don't know if it was an update to SoundSource that helped, as I was stuck...but now it's solved. Here's the setting I mean if it helps anyone else.

PS...reverting to v1.32.0015 of the app has resolved the issue for now.

Dell Support must start a case for this. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private U2723QE Service Tag with them. State that macOS DDPM V2.0.0.0015 A11 had issue. Uninstalled it and installed previous version macOS DDPM V1.3.2.0015 A00 which works.

Two things about getting in touch with Dell. First, I needed to find what my service tag was, so your helpful AI assistant told me one way I could find it was by entering the service tag on screen?? That's not helpful!
Secondly, when I started chat, I got the response "Thank you. We are reviewing this and will get back to you shortly."...that's so vague. Does that mean you stay online as someone is about to look at it...or does it mean it could be hours before someone does! How about "Thank you. We are reviewing this and will get back to you shortly. It's OK to close the chat window at this point."? Or maybe indicate estimated time to a response? I closed the chat in the end as I had no idea when a response would be forthcoming.

Why is the bot asking about speakers when I never said it was a speaker issue?

Don't know. Just keep trying to get past the AI to an actual agent.

I got to someone in the end, but that conversation was quite painful. They do say they are sharing the issue with a team, so I assume it is being looked it.

I think that they are confusing the two versions =
macOS DDPM V2.0.0.0015, A11. February 20, 2025
macOS DDPM V1.3.2.0015, A00. October 21, 2024
Perhaps they meant reinstall the newer one to then get feedback for the Displays team.

Except I had just done that with them staying online…but yes, they admitted they pointed me to the wrong version. Clearly it is an issue with the latest release. The workaround is to use the older version until they can find a fix.

So it's a month since I raised this as an issue and I have not heard anything since. I continue to have to use v1.3.2.0015 on my Mac. Just wondering if I am ever likely to hear from the support team?

I see that DDPMv2.0.0.0018 has been released. I have tried installing it and unfortunately I am still having issue with the function keys on my keyboard. I do need to make a correction...it seems to be only the function keys for increasing/decreasing the sound on my Mac.
In recap...
* No issues with DDPMv1.3.2.0015
* DDPMv2.0.0.0015 and DDPMv2.0.0.0018 - both cause issues
